Your Privacy, Your Data: Superstash is built with your privacy as a core principle. We don't collect, store, or have access to your personal information. Everything you create stays on your device.
Overview
At Superstash, we believe your creative work is yours alone. This privacy policy explains how Superstash handles your data—or more accurately, how it doesn't.
Data Storage
All data you create in Superstash is stored locally on your iPad. This includes:
- Sketches and drawings you create with Apple Pencil
- Images and screenshots you save to your canvas
- To-do lists and notes
- Widgets and their configurations
- Browser history within the app
- Any other content you create or store
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it through standard iOS sharing features.
iCloud Backup
Your Superstash data is backed up through your standard iPad backup process to iCloud, if you have iCloud Backup enabled. This is handled entirely by Apple's iOS backup system, and we have no access to this data. Your iCloud backup is protected by your Apple ID credentials and Apple's security measures.
Apple Reminders Integration
When you use the handwriting-to-reminder feature, Superstash converts your handwritten to-dos to text and syncs them with Apple Reminders. This integration:
- Uses Apple's native Reminders framework
- Stores reminder data in your personal Apple Reminders app
- Is subject to Apple's privacy policies
- Does not send your data to Superstash or any third parties
No Account Required
Superstash does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information. There are no usernames, passwords, email addresses, or profiles associated with using the app.
No Analytics or Tracking
We do not collect analytics, usage data, or track your behavior within the app. We don't know:
- How often you use the app
- What features you use
- What content you create
- What websites you browse within the app
No Third-Party Services
Superstash does not integrate with any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or data collection platforms. The only external service integration is with Apple's native Reminders app, which is entirely optional.
Permissions
Superstash may request the following iOS permissions:
- Photos: To allow you to import images from your photo library to your canvas
- Reminders: To sync handwritten to-dos with Apple Reminders (optional)
- Notifications: To send Pomodoro timer alerts (optional)
All permissions are requested only when needed and can be managed through iOS Settings.
Children's Privacy
Superstash does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app can be safely used by people of all ages.
Data Ownership
The data is yours. You have complete control over everything you create in Superstash. You can:
- Export your work as PDFs
- Share content through standard iOS sharing
- Delete any or all of your data at any time
- Uninstall the app, which will remove all local data
Changes to This Policy
If we make any changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Any changes will be reflected in app updates, and we encourage you to review this policy periodically.
